What’s new in 0.1 beta 18

Version 0.1.0-beta.18

  • Cutscript for Windows and Linux: Windows 10 and 11 through the Microsoft Store, Linux as an AppImage or a deb package, and Intel Macs alongside Apple silicon.
  • Record more than one picture at once: Add source in the recorder picks up to two more displays, windows, areas or a cabled iPhone or iPad. The editor shows them side by side or stacked, and Show one source switches between them over time.
  • Screen recording on Windows and Linux: a display or a window, with the microphone, the camera and, on Windows, the computer’s sound.
  • Settings › Local models shows what this computer can run and recommends a model for it: Whisper to transcribe on a Mac, Ollama for the AI director, edits and pause analysis, and voices on a Mac, including copying a voice.
  • Settings › Storage › What uses space shows what Cutscript keeps on this computer and clears caches, unfinished recordings and models you no longer need.
  • Drawing: drawings on the whiteboard and blackboard stay until you remove them. Hover a drawing and choose × to fade just that one. Settings › Drawing sets the board and the screen separately.
  • Brand kits: remove a logo or file, and choose which logo is the default.
  • On tall 9:16 videos the Cutscript mark is larger and also shows in the middle of the third quarter.
  • Two clean exports for a review: post an honest review of Cutscript on X with your personal link, send it from your account page, and two exports leave out the mark.
  • Download from link no longer sits at 1% when a download stalls: it tries again, then says what to check.
  • On Windows, projects and recordings are kept in a Cutscript folder in Documents, so they stay if the app is removed.
