What’s new in 0.1 beta 14

Version 0.1.0-beta.14

  • Project packages: export a whole project as one .csproj file, with its media, compositions, graphics and brand kit, and open it on another computer as a new project.
  • Missing media can be relinked: a project whose files moved shows Relink, and the preview’s missing-file card has Locate.
  • Clicking the recording bar no longer brings the editor forward. The editor waits minimised until you stop, then opens your new recording.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 13

Version 0.1.0-beta.13

  • Get set up: on first launch Cutscript shows what’s built in, installs the link downloader in one click, checks the screen recording permission and Claude Code, and shows your AI providers. Reopen it from Settings › Tools.
  • Settings › Tools shows each tool’s version with Update, Reinstall and Remove, and the link downloader updates itself every week unless you turn that off.
  • Repeating graphics stay consistent: the AI designs a chapter card, rating card or lower third once and reuses it with new details, and Update all or Detach keeps you in control.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 12

Version 0.1.0-beta.12

  • Review: the AI checks your video as it plays, picture and sound together. It finds graphics covering the webcam or captions, colours outside your brand kit, text that doesn’t match the speech, zooms that miss the click and music too loud under speech, then offers fixes.
  • Auto mode in the chat box: the AI applies its changes and runs steps up to the price shown when you send, and asks before spending more.
  • Full-screen spoken text: key lines fill the screen word by word as you say them, in your brand’s colours, and Direct my video can add them for you.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 11

Version 0.1.0-beta.11

  • Checkpoints: every message in the AI chat has Restore, which brings the project back to how it was before that message as one undo step, and shows what changed since.
  • Direct my video saves a checkpoint before each task, each with its own Restore.
  • The AI can now change any part of the timeline: it removes, moves, retimes and re-words graphics, and edits zooms, speed changes, webcam passages, tracks, markers, clips and the main recording’s pieces, gaps and linked audio.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 10

Version 0.1.0-beta.10

  • Direct my video: in the AI chat, the AI reads the whole video, asks a few quick questions and writes a plan for clean-up, chapters, graphics, zooms, captions, transitions and sound, with each item’s price and a total. Nothing is spent until you approve, and each task asks first unless you turn on Auto mode.
  • The plan’s Sound section cleans up your voice for free, adds click sounds to recordings, and can add music made to fit your video.
  • Chapters get markers, free chapter cards with your titles and a YouTube chapter list to copy.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 9

Version 0.1.0-beta.9

  • A new home screen: under “Let’s create something”, paste a YouTube or video link, attach files, pick a model and a brand kit, describe the edit, or press Record. Cutscript downloads the video, creates the project, transcribes it and sends your request to the AI, whose edits arrive as cards you apply.
  • Enhance voice in the new Audio section, for recordings, imported videos and audio files: Apple Voice Isolation, the built-in clean-up, or ElevenLabs and fal.ai when you have their keys, with Strength, Polish and an Original/Enhanced switch. Your media never changes, and the cleaned copy keeps every word exactly where it was.
  • Split the main recording and drag its pieces. The main track magnet (P) keeps pieces closed up; turn it off to place pieces freely and leave gaps, which show as “Gap 2.0 s” in the script. Trim a piece from either edge, ⌥W inserts a gap and ⌘B splits.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 8

Version 0.1.0-beta.8

  • One AI: a single chat that can do everything the AI features did before. It makes graphics, removes fillers, gaps and repeats, cuts, adds captions, zooms, b-roll, music, sound effects and voiceover, and chains them for requests like “tighten the intro and add a lower third with my name”. Every change is a card you apply, and paid steps show their price first.
  • Chat history: every chat is listed with search, rename and delete with restore, for this project or all projects. Type @ to bring an earlier chat or result into the current one, and long chats now scroll all the way down.
  • Settings → AI brings everything together: your providers first (ChatGPT plan, Claude plan, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs, fal.ai), then the model you want for transcription, images, the AI director, music, sound effects and voiceover, with live model lists and prices.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 7

Version 0.1.0-beta.7

  • A new AI director designs every graphic from scratch in real web design code: real typography, gradients, grain, 3D, maps, charts and motion, instead of arranging a fixed kit of parts.
  • Each design follows your storyboard, uses the pictures the director makes for it, checks itself for overlaps, safe areas, contrast and numbers that do not match your data, then looks at its own frames and improves them before you see it, with three variants to choose from.
  • Edit a design without the AI: its texts, colours, numbers, pictures and timing appear as a form in the right sidebar, and clicking a word in the preview jumps to its field. You can also open its code, change it and apply.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 6

Version 0.1.0-beta.6

  • On Rich and Standard the director now storyboards first: it plans a supporting picture, shows you the card, makes and checks the picture, and only then builds the scene with it. If it skips the pictures anyway, it asks itself once more for a storyboard that has them.
  • When the image model wrongly refuses a harmless picture as copyrighted, the director tries once more with a more specific description, within your caps.
  • Charts never draw one row on top of another: when a chart has too little room, it grows or drops its footnote instead of squeezing its rows together.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 5

Version 0.1.0-beta.5

  • The AI director now works from a library of 105 skills: short craft guides for the graphics people ask for most, such as a versus, a before and after, a hero number, a map journey, a lower third, a testimonial, a launch reveal, a countdown or a list of steps. It picks up to three for each message and shows them as chips under the text box, where you can remove one or add your own.
  • Before anything is built, the director writes a storyboard: the beats, the shots, the words, the motion and the pictures it plans, each with its price. Change anything on the card for free, then press Build, Build without images, or let it continue on its own next time.
  • Richer graphics by default: the director can make up to two supporting pictures, such as a background or a texture, on the image model you choose. It checks each one, never draws a logo, saves them to your library and only then builds the scene.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 4

Version 0.1.0-beta.4

  • The Graphics panel is now a chat with an AI director. Describe the graphic in your own words and attach files if you like: it plans the scene, the camera, the light and the timing, then shows three previews to pick from. Follow-ups continue the same thread.
  • Maps you direct: light them by day, golden hour, dusk, blue hour, night with city lights, or in the studio, and zoom in on a city, pull out along the route and push into the next, with up to 12 camera shots.
  • Landmark photos from your library sit on their city, such as India Gate on New Delhi and the Eiffel Tower on Paris, and each one can be nudged by hand.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 3

Version 0.1.0-beta.3

  • A new motion graphics system: describe what you want, pick Map & route, Title, Chart, Infographic or Other (or let Auto choose), and get three looks to pick from, each free to edit afterwards in the Graphic section.
  • Real maps: a plane, car, train or ship travels the true route between the places you name, on a flat map or a globe, and the camera keeps both ends of a long flight in view.
  • Animated titles: headlines, lower thirds, quotes, big numbers and call-outs that rise, type, wipe or count up, with line breaks and sizes set for the frame, including phone-shaped videos.

What’s new in 0.1 beta 2

Version 0.1.0-beta.2

  • Motion graphics from a description work again: a long scene no longer runs out of room half way through, and one that is still too big is asked for again in a simpler form.
  • A graphic the AI made is yours to edit: each layer’s words, colour, value and timing, its order, and layers you add or remove, in the Graphics panel.
  • Marking in and out on the timeline selects the same words in the script, and selecting words in the script sets the range, so you can always see which part is picked.

0.1 beta 1: the first public beta

Version 0.1.0-beta.1

  • Playback no longer stops for a moment at each cut: the next part is ready before the playhead gets there.
  • A redesigned timeline: rounded, colour-coded clips with letter badges, linked audio under the video, the transcript row on top, and a dashed Insert slot for new media.
  • Range actions (Cut, Lift and Delete) now sit in the transport bar, away from the ruler.
