What’s new in 0.1 beta 2

Version 0.1.0-beta.2

  • Motion graphics from a description work again: a long scene no longer runs out of room half way through, and one that is still too big is asked for again in a simpler form.
  • A graphic the AI made is yours to edit: each layer’s words, colour, value and timing, its order, and layers you add or remove, in the Graphics panel.
  • Marking in and out on the timeline selects the same words in the script, and selecting words in the script sets the range, so you can always see which part is picked.
  • In, Out and Clear in and out are buttons in the transport bar beside Split (I, O and ⌥X).
  • Drag on an empty part of the Webcam, Camera zoom or Layouts lane to add a range there, then pick what it should be; a click adds five seconds. Settings → Editing turns it off.
  • The Camera zoom lane appears as soon as a camera is chosen, so the first camera zoom can be drawn on the timeline as well.
  • Nine shapes for the camera: circle, rounded, square, pill, oval, wide, tall, framed and full screen.
  • The camera’s position picker no longer covers its neighbours: the chosen spot is marked inside its own cell.
  • A sound on every click: Tick, Tap or Soft with its own volume, off until you turn it on, and mixed into the exported file.
  • Three more click effects, Circle, Zoom pop and Highlighter, beside Spotlight, Ripple and Echo.
  • Media → Saved shows how long each item is, and draws a progress bar behind the row while it plays that you can scrub with the mouse or the keyboard.
  • Your own library takes anything: video, sound, pictures and SVG icons, imported once and offered in every project.
  • Clips drag anywhere on the timeline, above the first track or below the last one too, where a track is made for them.
  • A video and its dialogue stay together, they move, trim and delete as one, until you choose Unlink audio from the right-click menu.
