Free and Pro
What the free plan and Cutscript Pro include, how signing in works, how many computers Pro covers, and how to manage or cancel it.
Cutscript has two plans. On the free plan every feature works, and the videos and GIFs you export carry a small Cutscript mark. Cutscript Pro removes the mark and lets you export a timeline to other editors. Both plans use the same app, and you sign in to it once with a cutscript.dev account.

The Cutscript mark
On the free plan, videos and GIFs you export carry the Cutscript logo mark at 70% opacity in the bottom-right corner. Audio, subtitle and transcript exports have no mark. Pro removes it from every export. See Export a video.
Timeline export is a Pro feature
Pro lets you export your edit as a timeline for other editors: an EDL, a Final Cut Pro FCPXML file, or an XML file for Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. See Send to Final Cut, Premiere or Resolve.
Sign in
The first time you open Cutscript, you sign in with a cutscript.dev account. Use your email and a password, or sign in with Google or GitHub. You do this once.
After that, the app checks your plan about once a day while you are online. Offline, it keeps working for up to 14 days on its last check, apart from the steps that always need the internet, such as transcription. The first sign-in and each plan check need a connection.
Open Settings › Account to see your plan and this computer. Manage plan opens cutscript.dev/account in your browser. Sign out signs this computer out.
Computers
Pro covers up to 3 computers at a time. Settings › Account shows the computer you are on.
Buy, manage or cancel Pro
Buy Pro on the pricing page, and manage it on your account page. Billing goes through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record.
You can cancel any time. Pro lasts to the end of the period you paid for, and after that your account is on the free plan.
AI features
AI features run on your own provider keys (OpenRouter, ElevenLabs, fal.ai, OpenAI) or on your ChatGPT or Claude plan. That is the same on the free plan and on Pro. Pro includes no AI credits, so each provider still bills you directly. See How AI works in Cutscript.
